Frequently Asked Tour Questions

Is Everything Really Included?

Yes, pretty much. Meals, drinks, entertainment, transportation, activities, rooms, and taxes, are all included. Tips, however, are not normally included.

What is not included is the transportation to the tour, nor are any other meals, gifts, and services outside of what’s offered by the tour.

Are these tours strictly by group?

Yes, usually for purposes of keeping costs down. You can expect anywhere between 20 to 40 people. Many tour operators do offer private tours, at a much higher cost. However, they also offer self-guided tours that come with travel plans where you provide your own transportation.

How much walking is involved in a tour?

Depending on the where the tour is headed, you should expect a minimum of two hours of walking per day. Tours into remote areas will often require lots of hiking.

Motorized tours, such as safaris, railroad, or jeep tours, generally do not require much walking at all.

Are Pets Allowed on Tours?

No, generally speaking, we are not aware of tours that allow you to bring your pets along.

Do Tours Accommodate Disabled Persons?

Most tour operators make their best attempt to accommodate everyone’s physical limitations, however because tours generally involve some walking, or riding in automobiles, you should carefully consider what’s involved with the tour if you are physically disabled.

Rail tours are highly recommended because trains have excellent accommodations for disabled persons, and generally do not involve much walking.
