Frequently Asked All-Inclusive Resort Questions
Yes, pretty much. Meals, drinks, entertainment, activities, rooms, taxes, tips, are all included. Many resorts offer package levels that vary from including everything, to including only basics.
What is not normally included are spa services, gift shops, and any activities outside of the resort.
Yes, US-based travelers will be required to carry a passport anytime they travel outside of the United States.
We recommend it. If you book your vacation several months in advance, travel insurance will compensate you should any unforeseen circumstances cause the vacation to be cancelled.
If you book your vacation at the “last minute” the risk of cancellation drops greatly, and you may find travel insurance to become less important.
All-inclusive resorts accept reservations several months in advance, but will also accept bookings at the last minute. Often times, resorts will offer deep discounts for last minute bookings in the event they have too many unsold rooms. Contact me and I can give you a list of last minute resort discounts.
Not at all. Usually, it’s cheaper to stay at an all-inclusive resort than it would be to stay at a conventional hotel, where you would pay separately for dining, drinks, entertainment, etc.
